Why I Write Poetry

I write poetry because I can put my words together to make them mean what I want them to mean. I can arrange them in a way to tell a strory, or make them rhyme. I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. I enjoy writing poetry because it is fun and it comes from my heart.

It helps me to get things out that I would normally hold in. It is a shame, but I hear poetry in my sleep, and sometimes I even talk in rhyme; not that I try to it just is that way somettimes. It can get annoying after a while, but I enjoy it. Talking like that sometimes makes me laugh. See there is joy in poetry to. It is not always about sadness.

I guess I will always write, because it was the first thing that I learned to do, after I learned how to write my name.
