How Long Have I Been Writing?

I have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. It all started when I was in elementary school, and by the time I was in middle school, and high school, I was writing all of the time. I would wake up on the weekends and write all day long until night fell. Writing is how I get my feelings out, and it is how I express myself. I write what is in my heart, and I write about things that inspire me. Whenever I cannot write poetry, I brainstorm. I write words that rhyme until I come up with something to write. It can be hard sometimes when my mind is just blank, and that is where writers block creeps in. It can last for a while sometimes, but I don’t let it keep me from thinking about what to write next. I try to motivate myself by reading other things that I have written. Some of it makes me laugh, and some of it makes me cry, but mostly it just helps me to remember that I still have the gift of writing. Then I start to write again. I like sharing what I write with my family. I enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces as I read it to them. They always tell me that it is good. I just smile and blush and say thanks. That makes me want to write even more. When I have not posted any new material, it is because I am coming up with new things to write about. When I do post, there is more coming after that, and God knows how much. So stay tuned for more poetry from me. Have a blessed and wonderful day. Keep being creative!

It would be nice if I could sit under this tree and just relax in the breeze.

Learning new things is what I like to do. It may be hard at first, but I know I can make it through.

Learning new thing keeps my mind mind in tact. I want to remember things and that is a fact.

As the world changes from day to day, I have to look at things in a different way.

Young and old alike see things differently too, but if there was not a way to learn about different things what would we do?

How would the young children learn to read? How would they learn to write, count, speak correctly, learn to drive, learn about the facts of life?

How would the young at heart learn to do new things that they’ve never done before?

How would we train an animal not to go on the floor, and how would we train them to scratch on the door?

How would we know what to do in case of an emergency if we were never taught? I know this is about learning, but it is just a thought.

Never stop learning whatever you do, because you never know if you may have to relearn something too.

The older we get and as long as we live we will learn, we will be learning until we leave here it is just plain and clear.

Learn to love to learn, because it takes knowing things to get things done. Learning is not a chore, learning is fun. Make the best of it while you still can.
