The Old House

There is an old house that sits on top of a dark lonely hill that has been there for many years. The old house was built out of wood and stone, why would one want to leave the old house alone? It wailed and cried because no life was there. It wailed and cried because nobody cared.

Rain and wind beat on the old house only to leave it wet and cold, but the old house sat every day and night all alone. It wished for friends. It wished it could be vibrant again. Night 🌚 came.

The trees around the old house started swaying their branches all over the place. Speaking one to another, they said, β€œLet us blow this old house away! It’s taking up space.” The old house screamed and yelled at the trees,” LEAVE ME ALONE BEFORE I OBLITERATE YOU ALL!!!!” The trees laughed hysterically as if they had heard those words before.

The old house began to shake, and quake and smoke came through the windows, out of the doors, through the roof, and up to the sky, covering every tree in black soot. They started coughing gagging, and sputtering liquid sap from their branches. This went on for a while until they all fell to the ground. Yet still, nonetheless the old house returned to normal sitting on top of the lonely dark hill.

No one dared to go look at the old house because of the fear they had for it. The birds never flew close to it. No more trees grew there. No more rain fell there, and it was quiet from then on. No flowers grew there, nothing to make it look like it once did before it was abandoned by those who once loved it. The old house was bitter, angry, and filled with hate! It was not happy anymore! The life it once knew was gone never to return!

One day when it was cold, very cold, the old house fell apart because it had a broken heart. πŸ’” From the rubble it cried! From the rubble, it sighed. From the rubble, it screamed why?! Why me?! Why?! Those were the last words it spoke and died.

Can You See Me?

I am the shadow side of your former self, can you see me? I go everywhere with you, can you see me? I walk, talk, and mimic you, can you see me? I laugh at you, I make you feel afraid, can you see me? I speak to your dreams of the past and replay them over and over again until there is nothing left but your fragile self! Just when you think all is well, I strike and bring you down to despair! CAN YOU SEE Me?!!
