My English Teacher and Reading Teacher

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

When I was in middle school, I had two of the best teachers I enjoyed learning from, they were my English and Reading teachers, Mr. Harrington, and Ms. Schutt. Mr. Harrington was my reading teacher, and she was my English teacher. They are the ones who was influenced me to write. He taught me how to read art, to know how I am feeling by the way I write my letters, and how to put art in order by pictures when telling a story about it. I enjoyed going to class everyday. My English teacher taught me about poetry. She taught me about the different forms of poetry. I learned to love the classics such as William Shakespeare, and many other writers. They are the reason I love writing and drawing. If it were not for them believing in me, and showing me how to express myself with words and art, I would not be the writer and artist I am today.

When I think about what I do now, it takes me back to my eighth grade year. Those times were the best times. I learned so much about literature and how reading and writing can take you on journeys that you have never been before. I have traveled to many places within the pages of books and writing.

If I could turn back the hands of time and relive my eighth grade year I would. If I knew where they were today, I would tell them thank you for being an inspiration in my life. Appreciate those who share knowledge to teach you something that will last a lifetime. Who were your teacher, or teachers who influenced you to do what you are doing today?
