The Heat of Autumn

O, cool Autumn, where is your crisp day breeze? Where is your smell that lingers in the trees? Where is that romance that you bring?

Heat we feel from you so blistering hot, sweat falls like rain falling down on ones head from the sky.

Breathing in heat as we do in the Summer, as the season comes in. Maybe Summer doesn’t want to leave; maybe it wants to chill out with Autumn for a while.

Clouds roll in gray and white looking as if it’s going to rain to cool things off, but it decided to pass on by today.

Hello Autumn!, bring back the cool breeze that cools us off, that makes us want to sit outside and enjoy the night, that makes people want to walk and talk until daylight comes over the horizon.

The heat of Autumn is hot, muggy, and humid, it’s enough to get a sunburn. It is enough to get a heatstroke.

Who would have thought that it would be this hot in Autumn?

The breeze blows, but not for long, just enough to move the leaves on the branches.

If it were cool all day and all night it would be just right. No Autumn heat for us to take in as we step outside of our doors day or night.

No sweating as we go outside to enjoy the sun on a cool sunny day. It would be just the cool smell of Autumn as we watch the leaves turn from green to an orange Autumn glow.

Hugs and kisses under an Autumn tree sets the feelings of romance in the air.

A since of calmness…the stillness of joy and love to be shared by those that are in love.

Nothing is more romantic than listening to slow soft music as hearts are taken on a journey past the moon and stars.

To be happy in Autumn looking past the heat makes ones heart skip a beat.

Drinking on that special drink that tickles the taste buds, makes looking at the beautiful colors of the leaves in the cool breeze of Autumn, makes for a beautiful close of the day.

Yes, Fall is on her way to take the colors away, but Autumn will be back next year I can truly say. ©2021
