Mellow sounds of tracks being played in my ears which makes me bob my head to the beats. Rocking to the melodies that brings a smile to my face, making my heart beat to the rhythm. Floating on with the lyrics being said from the artist flowing from the heart of their soul. Telling the stories of what they been through, and where they were brought from, makes me want to shout for joy, because I know that tomorrow is going to be a better day.

Sounds that take me back, brings back the memories of days past when all was well in the world…when life was simple and happy. Opening up the heart to let feelings flow, to let things out that’s been held in, to start all over again, to make things new. What do you do when you are listening to the sounds that take you back to that special time in your life? Do you dance, do you sing, do you talk about the good old days? Listening to the sounds that take me back brings visions to my mind of when I was a kid without a care in the world, just living footloose and fancy free, no responsibilities…that was the good life. I can see myself running and playing, singing a song, hear myself laughing at something funny that was spoken, or just sitting quietly alone in my own world…just me, my thoughts, and I. I can see myself getting ready for church to go out of town to sing. Yes, I used to travel and sing with my church where I grew up. How I miss those times, but now they are just memories of long ago.

Sounds that take me back makes me think about my life now. How blessed I am. I remember all of the things I have been through, and where God has brought me from, and the things He has brought me through, and how He has saved my life more times than I can count.
