The season is here that is filled with cheer, as it is looking and feeling like Winter. The sun shines, the wind blows, and the leaves fall to the ground softly not making a sound. Chilly and cold as the wind blows from every direction, the sun peeks out to see what it is all about, but those that normally run and play cuddle quietly in their nests waiting for Spring to arrive, but still preparing for the snow to fall and leave a white blanket to be enjoyed by all.
As the wind whisper through the trees bringing a cold breeze, it is looking and feeling like Winter. Dressing for the season in our Winter refinery to enjoy the elements outside, makes one want to look up at the sky and smile. Smile a happy thought for the season at hand. Thinking of hot chocolate with marshmallows and peppermint, thinking of how apple cider with cinnamon as it is sipped slowly to take off the chill from the inside, thinking of the smells of holiday cooking that fills the air, brings feelings of warmth and love. Thinking of Christmas and how it brings families together to celebrate the season with loved ones that we don’t get to see very often.
Winter is special. We remember when we were children and how it made us feel when we knew that there was going to be something special for us under the tree, that was an exciting time. It makes us remember how we helped to decorate the Christmas tree with our family, and how we would make ornaments to go on the tree at school. I remember making paper snowflakes, and I just could not wait to go home to put it on the tree.
Although it is looking and feeling like Winter, it gives me a since of hope for tomorrow. It makes me feel like everything is going to be alright. Merry Christmas! ©2020
