As my workday came to an end, on my way home, I saw one of God’s little creatures lifelessly still in the street. Who could have done such of a cruel thing?!

It deserved to live, run, play, have fun, and who knows, it may have had a family. It will not get to enjoy the rest of Fall, the beginning of Winter, or any of the seasons that graces this earth from year to year.

It was early sent. Early sent away on this sun filled day. Left those to mourn the loss of life. No more gathering of the fruit of the ground placed there for survival. No more chattering away with his or her friends. This little squirrel had a right to live, but his, or her life was taken away and early sent to his, or her demise on this beautiful Fall day. ©2021
